Matthew Smith

Matthew Smith has extensive experience in data journalism and digital communications, currently serving as the Head of Data Journalism at YouGov since July 2016, where previous roles included Lead Data Journalist and Data Journalist. Prior to this, Matthew worked as a Digital Communications Officer at Unison for a brief period in early 2016 and held multiple positions at Policy Exchange from November 2009 to January 2016, culminating in the role of Digital Communications Manager. Earlier experience includes a Research Intern position at the Office of Patrick Mercer OBE MP. Matthew holds a Bachelor's degree in Politics from the University of Hull, earned between 2006 and 2009.
