Dan Brett's work experience begins in 2004 at Quinn & Scattini Lawyers, where they served as a Marketing Manager until 2006. Following this, they worked as a Marketing/Sales Assistant at Mackay-Payne Group from 2006 to 2007. From 2007 to 2008, they held the position of State Sales Manager - Queensland at AEC Systems, a provider of software and hardware solutions for the Architectural, Engineering, and Civil markets.

In 2008, Brett worked as a Recruitment Consultant at PFJ and later as a Marketing Coordinator at Zap Technology, a global software company specializing in organizational performance improvement. After that, they became the Owner of TypoPop.com from 2012 to 2014, and subsequently, the Owner of TypoPopKids.com from 2013 to 2014.

In 2017, Brett started their own venture as the General Manager & Founder of maekit, the first purpose-built business platform for web designers. Dan held this role until 2019. In 2020, they founded YouPay, an innovative online shopping platform that allows someone else to pay for an order. Simultaneously, they have also been acting as the Managing Director of MyWork, a company that provides functional websites for businesses in Australia since 2010.

Dan Brett attended Griffith University from 2004 to 2006. Dan obtained a Bachelor of Business Management with majors in Marketing, Business Management, and Business Communications. Prior to attending Griffith University, it is unknown where they completed their earlier education.
