Jeff Coats

Jeff Coats has a diverse work experience that spans over several industries and roles. Jeff most recently worked at YourSix as a Lead Access Control Cloud Support Technician starting in April 2021. Prior to that, Jeff worked at GSSC (General Security Services Corporation) from August 2019 to April 2021 as a Field Project Manager, overseeing all project phases and ensuring adherence to specifications, schedule, and budget. From July 2012 to July 2019, Jeff took on the role of a Dad at the Coats Family. Before that, they were a Site Project Manager at Evergreen Fire and Security from September 2006 to July 2012. Jeff gained expertise in instrumentation and controls while working at Washington Group International from March 2001 to September 2006 as an Instrumentation & Controls Technician, Lead. Jeff was responsible for fire detection systems, public address systems, CCTV systems, intrusion detection systems, and access control systems. Jeff's career in access control began at Crescent Real Estate Holdings LLC where they served as an Access Controls Administrator from March 1995 to December 1999. Jeff installed, maintained, and operated access control systems for the Houston Center complex and managed tenant relationships. Jeff also has experience in the correctional field, having worked as a Correction Officer at the Department of Correction Arkansas from December 1993 to August 1994, where they managed inmate and detainee populations and processed detainees at a county/state correctional facility.

From 1996 to 1997, Jeff attended the University of Houston-Downtown, where they studied Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services.

Between 1989 and 1991, Jeff was enrolled at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, focusing on Electrical, Electronic and Communications Engineering Technology/Technician.

In 1988, Jeff briefly attended Arkansas State University, majoring in Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services.

During the same year, Jeff was also a student at the United States Military Academy at West Point, although their field of study is unspecified.

Jeff completed their high school education at Hughes High School in Hughes, Arkansas, graduating in 1988.

In addition to their formal education, Jeff obtained a certification in IP Networking from IPVM in June 2021.
