James Rhee

James Rhee is the current advisor at YourStake. Prior to this, they were a board member for Howard University, Conscious Capitalism, Inc., and the MIT Sloan School of Management. James was also the Chairman Innovation Advisory Council and a board member for the National Retail Federation from January 2017 to August 2020. From August 2013 to July 2020, James was the Executive Chairman and CEO for Ashley Stewart, Inc.

James is a regional winner of the E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year Award, the winner of one of five 2016 Power Player Awards granted by the National Retail Federation, and the recipient of the 2017 Black Retail Action Group Business Achievement Award, the 2018 Temple Fox School of Business Information Technology Innovator Award, the 2018 Essex County Urban League Centennial William M. Ashby Award for community building and a 2019 One To World Fulbright Award.

After completing their undergraduate degree at Harvard University, James Rhee pursued a Juris Doctor at Harvard Law School. While in law school, they served as Editor-at-Large for the Harvard Law Review.
