Alex Orap 🇺🇦

Alex Orap has a diverse professional background with experience in various roles and industries. In 2000, they started their career as a pre-sales engineer and consultant at Nortel, a telecommunications equipment manufacturer. Alex then moved on to Alcatel-Lucent in 2006, where they served as an Enterprise Channel Sales Leader, managing sales channels and developing distribution networks in Ukraine.

In 2008, Alex joined Yandex, a popular search engine and internet company, as the Business Development Director for Yandex.Ukraine. Alex played a key role in driving strategic partnerships, bringing in new content suppliers, and working with traffic acquisition partners.

Continuing their journey, Alex founded LeadScanr in 2013, a lead generation tool that utilized advanced NLP and artificial intelligence technology to provide real-time leads from Twitter. Alex served as the CEO of the company until 2018.

Alex's entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish CONTACTIS in 2003, a successful outsourcing contact center and BPO provider. As a co-founder and partner, they actively contributed to the start-up and growth of the business.

In 2012, they became an author for SaaSDojo.com, a blog that focuses on various aspects of SaaS businesses and shares their experience in building a successful SaaS business.

Alex has also ventured into angel investing. Alex invested in outloud.ai, an undisclosed start-up in 2021, and in VAR.energy, a company that builds technology and a market platform for real-time reactive power procurement, in 2020.

Currently, Alex is the Founder and Chief Growth Officer of YouScan, an AI-powered social media listening platform known for its industry-leading image recognition capabilities. YouScan serves over 500 customers globally, including renowned consumer brands and agencies. The company has received recognition from industry experts, such as Gartner and MarkTech Breakthrough Awards. Through their role as CEO and Founder, Alex continues to drive the growth and success of YouScan.

Alex Orap obtained a Master of Business Administration degree in Executive MBA from Kyiv-Mohyla Business School, where they studied from 2007 to 2008. Prior to that, they completed their Master's degree in Computer Science and Applied Math at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv between 1993 and 1998.

In terms of additional certifications, Alex Orap obtained the "Social Media Listening Foundations with YouScan" certification from YouScan Social Listening in February 2023. Alex also received the "AI For Everyone" certification from Coursera in April 2019.
