John Hammond

John Hammond is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in both practical and educational roles. Currently serving as a Principal Security Researcher at Huntress since August 2020, John also contributes as a Cybersecurity Content Creator on YouTube, producing informative videos and presentations for community events and academic institutions. Prior to this, John held significant positions within the United States Department of Defense, including Cybersecurity Content Developer and SME, as well as a Red Team Cyber Operator with the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. John has also worked as a Curriculum Developer and Instructor at the DoD Cyber Crime Center, where a focus was placed on penetration testing and Red Team operations. Education includes a degree from the US Coast Guard Academy and advanced training from the SANS Technology Institute in various cybersecurity disciplines.
