Tarun Kumar has extensive experience in engineering and leadership roles across several prominent technology companies. At Honeywell, from November 2009 to October 2011, Tarun held positions as Domain Manager for Growth Platform & Solutions, System Architect for Building Solution & Environment Control, and Lead Architect for Platform, System & Solution. Following this, Tarun served in various managerial roles at Amazon from October 2013 to March 2016, ultimately becoming Senior Manager of Software Development. Since September 2020, Tarun has been an Engineering Leader at Google, focusing on GCP Security. Currently, as of May 2025, Tarun leads the engineering team at YouTube, working to establish the OTT team aimed at integrating sports, shows, and movies into the platform, while also overseeing recruitment for various key roles. Tarun holds a Master’s degree in Embedded Systems from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Bundelkhand Institute of Engineering and Technology, Jhansi.
