Max Roper is a seasoned entrepreneur and investor with extensive experience in the technology and startup sectors. Currently self-employed since March 2022, Roper serves as a Limited Partner at prominent firms including Thoma Bravo, KKR, Blackstone, Ankona, Redbrick, and Pretium, while also advising and investing in early-stage startups. Roper is a member of the YPO Southern California Chapter since February 2021. Previously, as Co-Founder and CEO of Appetize from April 2013 to March 2022, Roper led the company to its acquisition by SpotOn for $415 million, establishing it as a leading enterprise cloud Point of Sale platform. Roper also held the position of CTO at Spinlister from April 2013 to June 2015, contributing to its acquisition by ROKiT Made. Earlier career experience includes working with Red Bull on technology initiatives from April 2010 to April 2013. In addition to professional pursuits, Roper has traveled to over 130 countries, visiting all seven continents and numerous natural wonders.
