Ding Yuan is a co-founder of YScope and serves as Vice Chair of ACM SIGOPS. They previously held multiple roles at the University of Toronto, including Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor with the Canada Research Chair in Systems Software, from 2018 to 2023. They earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2012 and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Beihang University in 2006, and they were a visiting student at the University of California, San Diego from 2009 to 2012. They gained research experience as an intern at IBM Research in 2005 and at Microsoft Research in 2008.
