Dave Papp

Dave Papp, CISSP, has a diverse work experience in the field of technology and cybersecurity. Dave started their career in the United States Navy as an Electronics Technician from 1985 to 1995. Dave then worked at SMS Data Products Inc. as a Systems Engineer from 1995 to 1997, where they administered and troubleshot various servers and Microsoft Office products. From 1997 to 2012, they worked at CA Technologies as a Principal Consultant, specializing in Virtualization and Automation, focusing on Capacity Management and AppLogic. Dave collaborated with customers and partners to architect tailored solutions and implemented CA technology according to best practices.

In 2012, Dave joined MicroTech as a Principal Consultant, where they worked closely with the Chief Technology Officer on new initiatives, conducted demonstrations for clients and partners, and delivered solutions for unique business problems. Additionally, they conducted an online seminar for State, Local, and Education accounts on disaster recovery and mobile data centers.

From 2014 to 2016, Dave worked at DJIT Consulting as a Technology Consultant, supporting modernization efforts, evaluating infrastructure and tool sets, and making recommendations for supporting service level management goals. Dave also created and updated design documents and diagrams for production and Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery environments.

In 2016, Dave briefly worked at Raytheon Blackbird as a Cyber Engineer, specializing in cybersecurity. Later in 2016, they joined Technatomy Corporation, where they held multiple roles including Senior Systems Administrator, Deputy Program Manager, and Program Manager. In these positions, they managed various programs, projects, and teams.

Most recently, Dave has joined Yubico as a Senior Solutions Engineer in December 2020. Their responsibilities in this role include providing technical solutions and support to customers.

Dave Papp, CISSP, has a Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security from the University of Maryland Global Campus, which they obtained from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, they attended Strayer University from 2004 to 2008 and earned an AA degree in Information Systems. Additionally, Dave has obtained the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP®) certification from (ISC)² in February 2015.
