Will Smart

Will Smart is a senior technology architect with experience in various roles. Will started their career as a system administrator at Global Computer Systems in June 2005 and worked there until August 2007. Will then joined Brookhaven National Laboratory in August 2007 and worked as a senior technology architect, bringing a broad background and working knowledge to build engineering controls and increase security, usability, and compliance. Will used DevOps principles and automation technologies like Git, PowerShell, and DSC to reduce uncertainty and variability in the server room or cloud. Will ended their tenure at Brookhaven National Laboratory in September 2022. Currently, Will works at Yubico as a senior solutions architect, starting in September 2022.

Will Smart attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 2001 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Computer Engineering.
