Tomohiro Ichimura

Tomohiro Ichimura has a diverse and extensive work experience. Tomohiro most recently worked at Yugabyte as the Head of Solutions Engineering for Japan, where they were responsible for promoting and implementing YugabyteDB, a cloud-native, distributed SQL database. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Solutions Architect at Mapbox for two years. In their previous role at Pivotal Software, Inc., they held the positions of Lead Platform Architect and Sr. Solution Architect. Tomohiro also worked as a Senior Specialist at VMware and as a Solution Engineer at Nokia Siemens Networks. Tomohiro's professional journey began as a System Engineer at Sun Microsystems, where they spent nine years.

Tomohiro Ichimura obtained a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Meiji University in the years 1994 to 1998. Tomohiro then pursued a Master's degree in Information Systems from The University of Electro-Communications from 1998 to 2000. In addition, they have obtained several certifications in YugabyteDB development from Yugabyte in 2021.
