John Ronayne's work experience includes positions at various companies and institutions. John is currently working as a Lead Data Scientist at YuLife since February 2022. Before transitioning into industry, John worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Centre national de la recherche scientifique, based at L'Institut d'astrophysique de Paris, from November 2018 to July 2020. During this time, they focused on the Geometrical Destabilization of Inflation and was the sole code developer in the research group, specializing in numerical simulations for early universe cosmology.

Prior to their research position, John worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Queen Mary University of London from October 2015 to January 2018.

John Ronayne has a strong educational background in theoretical physics and cosmology. John completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Theoretical Physics at University College Dublin from 2010 to 2014. John then pursued further studies and obtained a Master's degree in Experimental Particle Physics at University College Dublin in 2014-2015. Subsequently, they pursued a Master's degree in Theoretical Physics at Imperial College London in the same year. Finally, from 2015 to 2018, John completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Theoretical Cosmology at Queen Mary University of London. In addition to their formal education, John has also obtained certifications in deep learning and machine learning from Coursera.
