Arjun Chatterjee

Arjun Chatterjee is the current CTO at YZR. Prior to this, they were a data scientist and engineer at dunnhumby from January 2018 to August 2019 and at Make.org from November 2016 to December 2017.

At dunnhumby, Arjun led the data science and innovation for the French Market. As dunnhumby specializes in all domains regarding retail, they handle diverse problems in Price and Promotions, Category Management, Customer Engagement and Media.

At Make.org, Arjun was challenged by diverse problems ranging from Statistical Modelling to understand Stochastic Variables, to Building Semantic Driven Super Powered Platforms. Make.org's goal is to revolutionize citizen engagement and empower the common man to bring about radical changes in governmental policies in order to build a better tomorrow. To achieve this, they are building a Citizen Driven Debate Platform - the first one of its kind in the world. The data science department’s objective is to build the tools that understand opinions of millions of participating citizens.

Arjun and their team work on exciting topics such as Automated Thematic Detection, Near Duplicate Detection, Advanced Classification on Un-orthodox axises such as Actionability, Political Positions etc. They also work on Statistical Models that help them identify emerging propositions, detect biases from user behaviours etc. They use Advanced Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence to build super powered tools so they as a Neutral and Independent Organisation can take the right decision to project an unbiased inference to the powers that be.

Arjun Chatterjee has a Masters in Business Analytics from CY Tech, a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from CY Cergy Paris Université, and an International Baccalaureate in Mathematics, Physics and Economics from the International School of Paris.
