Leila Sam is an experienced pathologist and medical educator with extensive background in pathology and microbiology. Leila Sam served as a full-time pathologist at the Department of Pathology and Medical Laboratory at Alborz General Hospital from January 2005 to August 2013, before co-founding and directing Hadaf Pathobiology Lab from September 2011 to August 2017. Following a Master's degree in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Ottawa, Leila Sam worked at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre as a pathology observer in February 2017. Subsequently, a role as a medical case manager and outbreak investigator at Health | Santé lasted from January 2021 to April 2023. Currently, Leila Sam holds a position at Z Advanced Computing, Inc. as a Pathology/Medical Educator, Advisor, and Director of AI Pathology since December 2023. Leila Sam also possesses a medical degree and pathologist degree from Tehran University of Medical Sciences, obtained between 1991 and 2004.
