Doug Atkin

Doug Atkin is the Executive Co-Chairman at Z-Work. Doug has over fifteen years of experience in the financial and technology industries. Doug has a proven track record of success in venture capital, private equity, and investment banking.

Doug started their career as an analyst at Majestic Research. Doug quickly rose through the ranks and became the Chief Executive Officer of the company in 2004. Under Doug's leadership, Majestic Research grew to be one of the leading independent research firms on Wall Street. In 2008, Doug left Majestic Research to start their own family office, Avila Group.

Avila Group was a successful family office that invested in a wide range of businesses, from real estate to private equity. In 2015, Doug left Avila Group to join Communitas Capital Partners, LLC as a Managing Partner. Communitas Capital was a venture capital firm that focused on investments in media, technology, and healthcare.

In May 2010, Doug joined Guggenheim Partners as a Portfolio Manager for the Center Court Fund. The Center Court Fund was a co-investment vehicle with Reuters that specialized in financial technology, crowdfunding, alternative data, and digital media. Doug was successful in leading Guggenheim's venture capital business and made several notable investments, including Replay Technologies. Replay Technologies was sold for $170 million less than two years after Doug led a $9 million investment round at a $17 million valuation.

In June 2008, Doug became a Board Member of Selerity, a provider of real-time market data and analytics. Doug served on Selerity's Board for over ten years and played an instrumental role in the company's growth and success.

Doug has also been involved in the entertainment industry as an Executive Producer for The Broadway Boys. The Broadway Boys is a critically acclaimed group of Broadway singers who have performed with some of the biggest names in music, including Beyonce, Barbra Streisand, and Elton John.

Doug is a graduate of Harvard Business School and Columbia University.
