Ashar Ali

Ashar Ali has a diverse background in strategy and finance with significant experience in management roles. At Z2C Limited, from June 2021 to June 2023, Ashar served as Strategy Manager, directly reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Executive Officer, focusing on identifying new markets and aligning businesses with the company's vision. Currently, as Senior Manager of Strategy & New Ventures at Z2C, Ashar led the launch of the "Begin" OTT video platform, projecting a 40% increase in the company's bottom line over five years, and successfully closed the first funding round for the startup. Prior experience includes positions as Analyst and Assistant Treasury Manager at Engro Fertilizers Limited, managing long-term debt and financial risks, and a Management Trainee role at ICI Pakistan Limited, where Ashar worked on financing new ventures and liquidity management. Ashar holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance from The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus and completed O&A levels at The Karachi Grammar School.
