Douglas Malan

Douglas Malan is an accomplished feature writer and author with extensive experience in various writing and editorial roles. Currently serving as a feature writer for Black College Nines since March 2019, Malan focuses on preserving the legacy of Historically Black College and University baseball. Other notable works include authorship of "Southern Bulldog, Northern Bulldog," which explores the historical connections between two American cities, and "Captain Comeback vs. The Blue Raiders," documenting Roger Staubach's early football career. Malan has also authored children's literature through "Let's Go to the Ballpark!" and contributed to multiple publications, including essays on baseball history. Additionally, Malan has held senior writing positions, including at ZAG Interactive, and served on the Board of Directors for the Illinois High School Basketball Hall of Fame and Museum. Malan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Middle Tennessee State University.
