Alejandro Saucedo

Alejandro Saucedo is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in the technology and artificial intelligence sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering, Applied Science, Product & Analytics at Zalando since January 2023, Alejandro oversees engineering and analytics for large-scale platforms in a major e-commerce environment. Alejandro's previous roles include Director of Engineering & Applied Science at the United Nations, AI Expert for the UN Advisory Body on Artificial Intelligence, and Scientific Advisor at The Institute for Ethical AI & Machine Learning, contributing to significant European policy initiatives. As a Board Member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) since May 2020, Alejandro represents a global community of computing professionals. Alejandro has also held executive positions at Seldon and Eigen Technologies, alongside experience at Bloomberg LP and as a software engineering contractor, further solidifying a strong foundation in software development and leadership. Alejandro holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Southampton.
