Dr. Anke Rieger

Dr. Anke Rieger is currently the Applied Science Manager at Zalando Payment Systems, where they oversee a cross-functional team applying Machine Learning to detect refund fraud. Previously, they held various leadership roles, including Software Development Manager at Amazon, where they managed teams focused on Machine Learning and Spoken Language Understanding. Dr. Rieger has also contributed as a Senior Program Manager at DivX/MainConcept and as a Technical Consultant at Nokia Networks. They earned a Diplom in Medical Informatics from Universität Heidelberg and a Dr. in Computer Science from Universität Dortmund, focusing on data mining and machine learning.
