Felix Schaumann

Felix Schaumann is a seasoned expert in machine learning engineering with extensive experience across various prestigious companies. Currently serving as a Senior Principal Machine Learning Engineer at Zalando since March 2025, Felix focuses on personalization, ranking, search, and generative approaches while collaborating across departments to enhance machine learning and generative AI product operations. Previously, at Datatonic from May 2021 to February 2025, Felix held dual roles as Head of Machine Learning Engineering—overseeing the development of over 20 ML Engineers—and Principal Machine Learning Engineer, contributing significantly to BT's AI Accelerator. Prior experience includes leading machine learning initiatives at MNP Digital, data science modeling at Annalect, and software engineering at IBM, complemented by a robust academic background with master's degrees in Computer Science from ETH Zürich and the University of Copenhagen, along with bachelor's degrees in Computer Science from Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University and the University of Staffordshire.
