Sylvain Robert is a Principal Applied Scientist at Zalando, where they have been working since 2025. With over a decade of experience in data science and statistics, Sylvain previously held positions at Google as a Senior Data Scientist from 2022 to 2024 and served as an External Lecturer at ETH Zurich from 2022 onward. They earned their PhD from ETH Zurich, where they also worked as a Research Assistant and completed their Master of Science. Sylvain has additional research experience from Université de Lausanne and a background in data science at Swiss Re.
