Torsten Gellert possesses extensive experience in applied science and research within the fields of mathematics and logistics. At Technische Universität Berlin, Torsten served as a Research Assistant from November 2009 to November 2014 after earning a Ph.D. in Mathematics. Following this, Torsten worked at Zalando SE from October 2015 to January 2019 as an Applied Scientist, where responsibilities included enhancing warehouse throughput and improving customer item selection. Currently, as a Senior Applied Scientist at Zalando since February 2019, Torsten has developed a price optimization system for the Pricing Platform in collaboration with MIT and colleagues, focusing on optimal stock management for a diverse range of products.
