John Johnson

John Johnson is a senior member of the team managing Italy's most prestigious reference catalogue and an extensive multilingual dictionary list. Currently serving as the Manager of Digital Dictionaries at Zanichelli editore S.p.A, they oversee the development of digital resources, software, and database management while enhancing user experience through collaboration with developers. With over twenty years of experience editing leading dictionaries, including the renowned Ragazzini English-Italian dictionary, they have transformed publications using modern corpus linguistics. Johnson has also held academic positions at institutions such as the University of Warwick and the University of Oxford, where they taught courses on literature. They hold a DPhil in Italian Language and Literature from the University of Oxford, among other degrees.
