Karan Shahani

Karan Shahani has a diverse work experience spanning from 2013 to 2021. In 2013, they worked as a Solutions Engineer at Grass Valley, where they developed and deployed professional solutions for monitoring the health of video broadcasting equipment. In 2015, they worked at SAP Hybris as a Software Developer, where they contributed to the inception and growth of a next generation CMS application and extensible framework. In 2016, they worked at Shutterstock as a Senior Software Engineer, where they were the technical lead and scrum master for the Shutterstock Footage development team and reverse engineered the legacy PHP application to incrementally migrate to a new Node/React platform. In 2018, they worked at Lightspeed HQ as a Principal Software Developer and at Skrunch Technologies as Co-Founder and Lead Frontend Engineer. In 2020, they worked at Zapper as Co-Head of Engineering and Senior Software Developer and in 2021 they worked at Smol Labs Inc. as Co-Head of Engineering.

Karan Shahani completed a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Software Engineering from McGill University between 2010 and 2015. Prior to that, they attended Marianopolis College.
