Bentley Shuster, PhD, currently serves as the Director of Scientific Affairs at ZBiotics, with a previous role as a Scientist in the same department. Prior experience includes a position as a Scientist at Werewool and a Postdoctoral Researcher at Columbia University, where research focused on various aspects of microbiology. Bentley also contributed as a Research Collaborator at the German Aerospace Center, collaborating on microbiology projects within the Astrobiology Labs. Additional roles include mentoring and leadership at The New York Academy of Sciences and various positions at New York University, including Graduate Teaching Assistant and Researcher, where the focus was on the spore surface characteristics of Bacillus subtilis. Bentley holds a PhD in Microbiology and a Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology from New York University, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology from Boston University.
