Carsten Thurau

Carsten Thurau has extensive experience in journalism and broadcasting, currently serving as Chef vom Dienst in the Hauptredaktion Aktuelles at ZDF since April 1995. In addition to this role, Carsten has held positions as Studioleiter, Studioleiter Südamerika, and Reporterpool, as well as being a TV-Moderator for "heute in Europa" and a Redakteur for the "heute"-Redaktion. Prior experience includes working as a Reporter for Hörfunk at SWR from October 1992 to April 1995 and serving as Redakteur and Leiter der Wirtschaftsredaktion at Medienhaus Trierischer Volksfreund from January 1989 to October 1992, alongside initial training as a Volontär. Carsten Thurau holds a Diplom in Angewandte Volkswirtschaftslehre from Universität Trier, completed in 1997.
