Michael Tidwell

Michael Tidwell has worked in various roles in the tech industry since 2015. Michael began their career as a Data Engineer at Partpic Inc., a company acquired by Amazon, where they were responsible for populating and curating data for their mobile app lookups. In 2016, they joined Liaison Technologies as a Big Data Software Developer I, and was later promoted to Big Data Software Developer II. In this role, they managed GCE/GCP Infrastructure and was responsible for metrics gathering from Clojure microservices. Michael also used the TICK stack and helped manage the Jenkins Server and create build pipelines.

In 2017, Michael Tidwell joined a startup as an Infrastructure Engineer where they created technology and products that reduced the cost and complexity of trust. Michael's responsibilities included load testing the network and reporting bugs and digging into root cause.

In 2018, Michael Tidwell became the Chief Knowledge Officer at the Atlanta Bitcoin Embassy and Co-Founder of TABConf 2022. Michael also founded The Atlanta BitDevs, where they organized 50+ events a year.

In 2019, Michael Tidwell became a Co-Founder of Koala Studio, a Lightning Network and Video Game Platform, and Sr DevOps Engineer at Steady, where they helped people find work in the gig economy. Michael worked mainly with the AWS cloud and hosted microservices using kops and EKS Kubernetes Clusters.

Currently, Michael Tidwell is the Vice President of Infrastructure and Head of System Operations at ZEBEDEE.

Michael Tidwell obtained a Bachelor's of Science in Information Technology Systems and Security with a Minor in Business Administration from Georgia Gwinnett College between 2010 and 2013, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a 3.8/4.0 GPA. In addition, they have obtained three certifications: AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate (SOA-C01) from Linux Academy in January 2020, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (SSA - C01) from Linux Academy in December 2019, and 1Z0-051 Oracle Database 11g: SQL Fundamentals 1 from Oracle.
