Matthew Ashcroft, PhD, is currently an Environmental Engineer at Zebra Technologies, where they focus on product sustainability and reducing the environmental impact of mobile computing devices. They earned their PhD in Sustainable Engineering from Villanova University in May 2022, after obtaining both a Bachelor's and Master's degree from the same institution, with the latter including a concentration in renewable energy. Previously, they served as an Environmental Consultant at Ethos Sustainability Solutions and held a Young Scientist position at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis, where they analyzed the interconnections between the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Ashcroft has been instrumental in developing Villanova's first sustainability plan and currently leads efforts to update and implement this plan.
