John Tough

John Tough is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Energize Capital, where responsibilities include overseeing all investments, strategy, and execution for each fund. As a member of the Investment and Management Committees, John plays a critical role in the firm's operations. John also serves as a Board Member for several companies, including PVcase, Sitetracker, DroneDeploy, Nozomi Networks, Matroid, Inc., and has held a position as a Board Observer for ZEDEDA Inc. Additionally, John has experience as a Venture Investor at SparkCognition and previously served on the board of Volta Charging and Smartcar. John holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship, Finance, and Strategic Management from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Chemistry, and Markets & Management from Duke University.
