Doug Baxter

Doug Baxter is a growth-driven, board-level business leader with a track record of turning around businesses and delivering substantial growth across aerospace, defence, marine, oil and gas, safety products, and the food industry. They currently serve as Chairman of Zelim Ltd, helping to build a leading global technology business in the maritime safety sector. They have held senior roles including Chairman and Non-Executive Director at Claymore Consultancy Ltd (2016–2023) and Group Board Director at Marshall of Cambridge Ltd (2023–2024), and they previously led Survitec Group as Chief Executive Officer (2008–2012) and served as Managing Director of Electronic Warfare Systems at BAE Systems (2002–2006). Earlier in their career they held finance and planning positions at GEC Marconi and related groups, including Finance Director and Group Finance Director roles overseeing large turnovers and IT/IS initiatives. They studied at Dundee College of Commerce (1979–1982) with credentials from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
