Lucas Wu has a diverse work experience, beginning with an internship at PwC in 2014 as an Intern at Advisory Services - Consulting (Co-op). Lucas then worked as a Research Assistant (VPR USRA) at the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science in 2015, as well as an Intern at Analysis and Scouting Team at Vancouver Whitecaps FC and a Basketball Data Analyst at GeNA Lab. In 2016, Lucas worked as a Methodologist (Co-op) at Statistics Canada. In 2017, they held internships as a Data Scientist Intern at Fraser Health Authority and a Research Assistant at Simon Fraser University. In 2019, Lucas worked as a Data Scientist Intern at Two Hat and a Consultant at the National Football League (NFL). Lucas is currently a Data Scientist at Zelus Analytics.
Lucas Wu began their education in 2011, when they enrolled at Simon Fraser University to pursue a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) With Distinction in Statistics, with a Minor in Business. In 2016, they attended Stanford Summer Session with no degree program. In 2017, they returned to Simon Fraser University to pursue a Master of Science (MSc) in Statistics, which they completed in 2018. In 2019, they attended the CIFAR Deep Learning & Reinforcement Learning Summer School. Lucas is currently enrolled at Simon Fraser University, where they are pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Statistics.
