Operational Lead (sd-wan) at Zen Internet

David Nelson has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. David started their career as a Technical Support Consultant at Polar Technology Ltd in March 2001, where they worked until May 2003. In September 2003, they joined DNN Computer and Mobile Phone as a Business Solutions Consultant for a few months.

In March 2004, David transitioned to Zen Internet as a Technical Support Services Consultant, where they provided assistance and troubleshooting support to their customers. David quickly progressed within the company and became a Team Leader in December 2004, managing two teams specializing in connectivity support and managed network services. David played a key role in multiple product and process improvement projects and gained experience in various management responsibilities.

David's next role at Zen Internet was as a Performance and Improvement Analyst starting in July 2009. In this position, they monitored team performance and implemented continuous improvement initiatives to meet strategic objectives. David also contributed to product development by developing operational processes, training materials, and preparing internal systems.

Continuing their growth at Zen Internet, David became a Service Desk Engineer in September 2013, where they managed Cisco and Fortinet managed services, including remote router and firewall administration, change control, and problem diagnostics. David then moved up to the position of Second Line Engineer in September 2014, where they further enhanced their technical expertise.

In August 2019, David was promoted to Senior Engineer at Zen Internet, before being promoted again to the role of Team Leader in October 2019. Currently, they work as the Operational Lead (SD-WAN) for the company since October 2020.

5. In July 2017, they obtained the UK Amateur Radio Full License from the Radio Society of Great Britain.

6. In May 2015, they achieved the certification of Fortinet Certified Network Security Administrator from Fortinet.

7. In June 2009, they obtained the ITIL v3 Foundation Level certification from QA Ltd.
