Rui Wang

Rui Wang has a diverse range of work experience in the field of perception software engineering and automotive research. Starting in 2013, Rui worked as a Full-time Intern at Changyehuatian Metallurgical Equipment Co.,Ltd, where they gained hands-on experience in manufacturing processes and workpiece design. In 2014, Rui interned at AnQing CSSC Diesel Engine Co.,Ltd, where they learned about powertrain transmission and conducted modal analysis of engine crankshaft vibration.

In 2016, Rui worked as a Student Research Assistant at the Center for Automotive Research, focusing on processing sensor data and employing algorithms for object detection and tracking. They also researched camera techniques such as lane detection and traffic sign classification.

From 2017 to 2022, Rui worked at Aptiv as a Scene Perception Engineer, supporting ADAS algorithm development and developing core algorithms for object tracking and perception.

In 2022, Rui joined Rivian as a Perception Software Engineer, and then later in 2023, they moved on to work at Zendar as a Senior Perception Software Engineer.

Rui Wang completed a Bachelor's degree in Power and Energy Engineering from Wuhan University of Technology from 2011 to 2015. Following that, Rui Wang pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) in Mechanical Engineering at The Ohio State University from 2015 to 2017. In terms of additional certifications, Rui Wang obtained a Deep Learning Specialization from Coursera in June 2020 and an Algorithms Specialization from Coursera in February 2021.
