Arul Menezes

Arul Menezes is an advisor at ZENDOC and a former research engineer at Microsoft. Arul is best known for their work on Microsoft Translator, which they co-invented. Arul began their career at Microsoft in 1991 as a software design engineer, working on products such as Windows 3.1, Windows 95, MSN, Microsoft Site Server, and Windows CE. In 1999, they became a research engineer and began working on the technology that would become Microsoft Translator. Arul held this position until 2008, when they were promoted to partner research manager of machine translation. Arul held this position until their departure from Microsoft in 2018.

Arul Menezes completed their B.Tech in Computer Science And Engineering from IIT Bombay and then went on to do their Master of Science in Computer Science from Stanford University.
