Carlos Morell

Carlos Morell is the current Vice President of Sales at Zenlayer. Carlos has over 18 years of experience in business development and sales, with a focus on helping global enterprises succeed in China.

Morell started their career in 2003 as a Director of Business Development for AT&T. Carlos then spent 7 years at ChinaCache, where they eventually became Vice President and General Manager of ChinaCache International. In 2016, they joined Tencent as Vice President of International Tencent Cloud. Morell was responsible for launching Tencent’s International Cloud Operations and establishing Sales, Marketing, and Product Development teams in the US and EMEA.

In August 2020, Morell left Tencent to become an International Growth Advisor for Syft, a creative social media marketing agency specializing in branding, video production, and artist management. Carlos held this position for a year before joining Zenlayer as Vice President of Sales in August 2021.

Morell graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management.

Carlos Morell reports to Joe Zhu, Founder, CEO. They are on a team with Han Le - General Counsel, David Xie - CPO, and Sophie Chen - VP.
