Shashank Singh is a Partner and Head of the India office of Apax Partners, the global Private Equity fund based out of Europe, having helped to start it in 2007. Shashank joined Apax in 2004, and has led or participated in a number of key deals at Apax including Zensar Technologies Limited, Shriram City Union Finance (SCUF), Cholamandalam Investment & Finance, GlobalLogic, IGATE, Apollo Hospitals, TIM Hellas, Weather Investments, TDC, Bezeq and Synetrix. He currently serves on the Boards of Directors of GlobalLogic and SCUF, and has previously served on the Boards of IGATE and Apollo Hospitals. He is an Independent Non-executive Director on the Board of Greatship India Limited, the offshore oilfield services subsidiary of Great Eastern Shipping. Shashank is also a Trustee of the Apax Foundation and serves as a Director on the Board of Dasra (an NGO), a leading NGO in India. Prior to joining Apax Partners, Shashank was a strategy consultant with Monitor Company, where he advised clients in the telecoms and high technology sectors. Shashank has an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MA in economics from Cambridge University and a BA (Honours) in economics from St. Stephen's College (University of Delhi).
