Felipe Plets

Felipe Plets has a diverse work experience that spans over several companies and roles. Felipe began their career in 2004 as a Systems Analyst at iVirtua Solutions, where they worked on web development projects and participated in quality improvement initiatives. In 2007, Felipe founded Pletax.com, a portal for knowledge hacking subjects. Felipe then co-founded AppStartup in 2013 before starting their own startup called Menvia in 2013, where they served as the Founder and CEO. At Menvia, Felipe developed Eventelis, an Event Management Platform using JavaScript, NodeJS, AngularJS, ExpressJS, and MongoDB.

Felipe also held roles at SAP, where they worked as an Agile Project Manager and Software Developer. As an Agile Project Manager, they served as a leader and enabler for teams working on banking solutions. Felipe also worked as a Software Engineering coach and trainer in Scrum framework and Lean mindset, focusing on enhancing product quality and promoting continuous improvement.

In addition to their startup experience, Felipe has also worked at Sensei Labs as a Senior Frontend Developer and at Fiix Software as a Software Engineer Team Lead. Currently, Felipe is employed at Zensurance as a Software Engineering Associate Director, where they lead two groups of teams, manages senior direct reports, and conducts interviews to find suitable team members.

Outside of their professional roles, Felipe has served as a Career Mentor at Ryerson University's Tri-Mentoring Program, providing guidance and advice to students approaching graduation.

Throughout their career, Felipe has demonstrated their skills in software development, project management, coaching, and mentoring.

Felipe Plets attended Instituto de Educação São José from 2002 to 2004, where they earned a Technical degree in Business Administration and Management, General. Felipe then went on to study at Unisinos from 2005 to 2013, earning a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems.
