William Gillin

CNC Programmer/Machinist at Zepher

William Gillin has a diverse work experience in the manufacturing industry. William started their career in 2004 as a CNC Machinist and CMM Programmer at Glacier Tool & Die, where they produced high-quality machined parts for the defense industry. William then worked at Pacific Tool Inc as an EDM Department Lead and CMM Programmer, where they operated and programmed Wire EDM machines and performed CAD tasks.

In 2008, William joined Western Industrial Tooling as a Toolmaker, CNC/CMM Programmer. In this role, they took parts through the entire manufacturing process and performed design work using Pro/Engineer Wildfire. William also programmed 3 Axis toolroom mills.

From 2010 to 2013, William worked at Leviton Network Solutions as a CNC Machinist/Moldmaker. Here, they machine parts, assemblies, and prototypes, and also assisted moldmakers with CNC milling tasks.

In 2013, William joined Summit Molds as a Moldmaker. In this role, they manufactured complex components for plastic injection molds and utilized various CNC mills and EDMs.

From 2014 to 2016, William worked at CRB Manufacturing as a CNC Machinist/Programmer. William designed and created tombstone tooling, programmed Mori Seiki NHX machining centers, and programmed Mori Seiki NL mill turn machines for lights out operation.

Most recently, William is working at Premier Manufacturing Company since 2016 as a Machine Shop Supervisor. In this role, they supervise production employees, troubleshoots production issues, and coordinates with suppliers to improve processes.

Currently, William is working as a CNC Programmer/Machinist at Zepher, starting in 2021.

William Gillin attended Bellevue College from 2009 to 2013, where they earned an Associate in Science (AS) degree in Mechanical Engineering.
