Paddy Lowe

Founder / Director at Zero

Paddy Lowe has a diverse work experience spanning over 35 years. Paddy started their career as a Control Engineer at Metal Box Research & Development Ltd. in 1985, where they worked until 1987. Paddy then joined Williams Martini Racing as a Control Engineer and stayed with the company until 1993. At McLaren Racing, they held various roles including Head of Research & Development and Chief Engineer, before becoming Technical Director in 2011. In 2013, they joined the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team as Executive Director (Technical) and played a key role in their success until 2017. Lowe subsequently became the Chief Technical Officer at Williams Martini Racing from 2017 to 2019. Most recently, they founded Zero® Petroleum in 2020 and serves as the Founder/Director. Throughout their career, Lowe has demonstrated expertise in engineering, technical leadership, and innovation in the field of Formula One racing.

Paddy Lowe pursued their education at Sevenoaks School from 1976 to 1980. Following this, they attended the University of Cambridge from 1981 to 1984, where they earned their MA degree in Engineering.
