Simon Wells

Simon Wells is an experienced professional in the engineering and operations field, currently serving as the Operations Director at Zero® since May 2023. Previously, Simon held various significant roles at WILLIAMS GRAND PRIX ENGINEERING LIMITED from July 1983 to November 2020, including Transformation Director, where responsibilities encompassed creating technology and business systems roadmaps, implementing governance structures, and leading initiatives for Industry 4.0. As Operations Director, Simon focused on fostering a performance-driven culture, managing F1 car development and production processes, and overseeing critical onsite facilities, health, and safety. Additional roles included Head of Test Facilities, Head of Prototype and Test, and Head of Hydraulic and Mechanical Test, showcasing expertise in advanced manufacturing systems and technology development for Formula 1. Simon’s career began at Esso Petroleum as a Research Technician, contributing to engine testing and data collection.
