Daniel Stein

Pipeline Lead at Zero VFX

Daniel Stein began their career in 2010 as a Lighting Artist at Critical Mass Interactive, where they provided high-quality world and character lighting for Disney's TRON:Evolution. Daniel then moved to Spiderwood Studios in the same year, where they worked as a Lighting and Compositing TD for the animated short film Flight of Magic, writing python scripts to implement linear workflow into existing pipeline. In 2011, they worked as a Compositor at Mackevision and as a Compositor/Lead Stereo Compositor at Speedshape. Daniel then joined Solid MTL as a Stereo Technical Supervisor in 2012, providing stereo consulting, training, and compositing on Escape from Planet Earth at Rainmaker. In 2013, they moved to Gener8 Digital Media Corp, where they worked as a Nuke/Pipeline TD and Lead Compositor. Daniel then joined The Foundry as a Creative Specialist in 2015, followed by Rainmaker Entertainment Inc as a Stereoscopic Supervisor. In 2016, they began working at Dassault Systèmes 3DEXCITE as a Pipeline Supervisor/Sr Development Manager and Compositing Supervisor. Finally, in 2021, they joined ZERO VFX as a Pipeline Lead.

Daniel Stein attended Full Sail University from 2007 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Animation.
