Zero Waste is the concept of waste prevention through principles that encourage the redesign of resource life cycles so that all materials are reused rather than sent to landfills, incinerators, or polluting our oceans.

Zero Waste Providence focuses on creating opportunities for members of the Providence community to participate in more sustainable lifestyles and economies. We work on sustainability and zero waste initiatives at the local & state level, collaborate with other local and neighboring groups to implement events with sustainability and/or zero waste goals, and work to improve social & environmental justice.
