zero2hero
Our vision is that every child and young person is educated and empowered to effectively deal with mental health issues. Our mission is to provide innovative school-based programs for children and young people that develop their understanding of mental health issues and awareness of mental health services. The zero2hero team envisions a world where mental illness is dealt with openly and treated as a normal part of everyday life. zero2hero is a WA-based not-for-profit organisation with a mission to address mental health problems openly among younger people. zero2hero believe that through open communication, mental health problems can be effectively dealt with and suicide can be prevented. Through specialised events the zero2hero team help create supportive networks that encourage speaking out about mental health. zero2hero’s events such as ‘zero2hero day’ and ‘Camp Hero – Youth Leadership Camps’ equip school-aged children and teenagers with the skills to speak up when they are struggling and the confidence to stand up and support their friends when they may be experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, bullying, self-harm or suicidal thoughts.
