Alwin W.

Alwin W. has a diverse range of work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Alwin began their career at Ordina in 2006, where they worked in various roles as a Unix and Security Engineer, Monitoring Engineer, and Network Engineer. Alwin remained with Ordina until 2016.

In 2017, Alwin W. joined Zerocopter as a Security Researcher and later joined Ordina again in 2018 as an Ethical Hacker. Alwin also worked as a Security tester for the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate (via Ordina) from 2020 to 2021.

In 2019, Alwin W. worked as a Penetration Tester for Achmea (via Ordina) and as an ICT Security Specialist for the Municipality of Groningen (via Ordina) from 2018 to 2018. Alwin also held the role of Senior Systeembeheerder (System Administrator) for the Municipality of Groningen during the same period.

In 2022, Alwin W. joined the Dutch Institute for Vulnerability Disclosure (DIVD) as a Security Specialist IT-Services and Researcher level 1. Additionally, they briefly worked as a Security Specialist for Coöperatie VGZ in 2022.

Alwin W. has demonstrated expertise in ethical hacking, security research, penetration testing, and system administration throughout their career.

Alwin W. pursued their education starting from 1998 to 2002 at Drenthe College, where they earned an MBO degree in Systeembeheerder. Following that, they attended Stenden University from 2002 to 2006, obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Information and Communication Technology. In addition to their formal education, Alwin W. has obtained several certifications in various fields. These certifications include the Certified Entry-Level Python Programmer (PCEP) from OpenEDG Python Institute in May 2020, the eLearnSecurity Web application Penetration Tester (eWPT) from eLearnSecurity in March 2019, the Offensive Security Wireless Professional (OSWP) from Offensive Security in June 2018, the Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) from Offensive Security in February 2018, and more. These certifications demonstrate their dedication to continuous learning and specialization in the field of information technology.
