Shane Max is an experienced horticulturist with a strong background in kiwifruit production and global agricultural management. As Director of MaxKiwi Limited since October 2019, Shane oversees the cultivation of 3ha of Green and Red kiwifruit. At Zespri International, Shane has held multiple leadership roles since June 2002, including Head of Global Extension and Global Production Manager, focusing on global supply stability and orchard profitability through sustainable practices. Previous experience includes managing a 10ha commercial research fruit orchard at Massey University and overseeing a multi-site research center at Colorado State University, providing vital support to the agricultural sector. Shane holds a Bachelor of Horticulture from Massey University, earned between 1978 and 1980.
