John Liu has a wealth of experience in product and technology roles. John began their career in 2010 as the Founder of Dormslist, an online marketplace offering students a cheaper and more efficient alternative to online retailers and campus bookstores. In 2012, they became a Teaching Assistant (Computer Science) at Columbia University in the City of New York. In 2013, they became a Product Leader at Chegg Inc., setting and driving the product roadmap for Chegg Study. John then joined Smule, Inc. as a Product Manager in 2014. In 2016, they became Co-Founder of Startups Exploration and Product Manager at Google, leading teams of 30+ people to innovate across Google Search, Maps, and SMB. John also led SMB onboarding & engagement and Google Maps's Google My Business partner products, programs, and API. In 2021, they became Co-Founder, Product & Tech at Zestworld.
John Liu attended Columbia University from 2009 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. John also attended Columbia Engineering during the same time period.
