Matthew Barton

Matthew Barton is a highly experienced General Counsel and C-Suite corporate leader, currently serving as the Group General Counsel and Company Secretary at ZIGUP since 2024. With past roles including Group General Counsel at Petrofac and Executive Director and General Counsel at Future Pipe Industries, they possess extensive expertise in guiding multinational corporations through periods of rapid change and crisis management. Matthew has operational experience across the globe, particularly in the Middle East and the UK, and has a strong background in regulatory investigations and compliance programs. They are also passionate about building high-performance teams and developing talent. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) in Business Law from City University London and a Diploma in Legal Practice from the College of Law, Guildford.
