The International Digital Health Workforce Development Association envisions a sustainable digital health ecosystem through a skilled and empowered local eHealth workforce. The Association is created to promote international digital health professionalism – in particular by:
- Promoting education and research in digital health at the global level;
- Developing competency-based framework for digital health to support 
 education and career path development;
- Professionalising health informatics and related digital health roles
- Developing innovation-centric digital health ecosystems that include digital health professionals, educators, government officials and innovative solutions providers
