Michael Klasen

Michael Klasen has an extensive work experience spanning 25 years. Michael began their career in 1995 as Technical Support and Planning Manager at Datatech. In 1997, they became East Asia Sales and Marketing Consultant at Carraro Spa, followed by a Dissertation Topic Research at KYUSHU UNIVERSITY PHD PROGRAM in 1999. In 2001, they were appointed Japan Country Sales Manager at TriQuint Semiconductor (now Qorvo, Inc.). In 2004, they completed their PhD in Industrial Economics and published a book, “Innovation Uncertainty Management, Converting Creative Potential in Financial Results.” In 2006, they became Business Development Manager at Mentor Graphics. In 2007, they worked as Startup Research and Business Development at Robust Decisions Inc. In 2017, they worked as Business Innovation Manager at Green Power Design Astri Limied. Since 2018, they have been Director for Business Development, Systems Division at ZincFive, Inc., where they are a solution architect and sales director for Nickel Zinc battery systems.

Michael Klasen obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Industrial Economics from Kyushu University, a Master's Degree in Pacific International Affairs from the University of California, San Diego, and a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and Physics from Pennsylvania State University. Michael also completed a Master's Degree in Pacific International Affairs from UC San Diego in 1988-1992.
